Privacy Policy

Voisary is operated by Aveny LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, where it goes, and how you get rid of it.

What we collect

What you create:

• Your email address, so you have an account you can return to.
• The voice recordings you make in the app.
• The transcripts and notes generated from those recordings.
• The templates and folders you create.
• Your subscription status, so we know whether your plan is active.

How you use the app:

• Which screens you open and how long you stay on them.
• Which actions you take — starting a recording, saving a note, creating a template, opening the paywall.
• When something fails: a failed sign-in, a failed upload, a recording that would not start.
• A random identifier that ties these events to your account, plus your app version.
• Your email address, attached to that usage profile so we can tell which account a session belongs to. It is stored by Mixpanel alongside the events above.
• Whether your subscription is active, so we can see where paying and non-paying people behave differently.
• Recordings of the app's screens as you move through them (see below).
• Whether your install came from one of our Apple Search Ads campaigns, and which campaign it was (see below).

We answer questions like "where do people get stuck" with this. You can turn all of it off in Settings › Preferences › Share usage data, and the app keeps working exactly the same.

We do not collect your contacts, your location, your photos, or any advertising identifiers, and the app contains no ads.

How your recordings are processed

While you speak, transcription runs on your device so you can see your words in real time. That live transcript never leaves your phone.

Before any of this happens we ask you. The first time you record, the app shows you what is sent, who it is sent to and what they do with it, and nothing is uploaded unless you agree. You can withdraw that agreement at any time in Settings › AI processing › Send recordings for AI notes; with it off, recordings stay on your phone and are never uploaded.

Once you have agreed, when you finish a recording the audio file is uploaded to our server and sent to OpenAI to be transcribed and then reshaped into a structured note using the template you chose.

If you are offline when you finish, the recording is held on your phone and nothing is sent anywhere. The app uploads it by itself the next time you have a connection, and only then is the note written. Until that happens the audio exists on your device alone.

OpenAI processes this on our behalf through its API. Data sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models. OpenAI does keep abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, and those logs can include what was sent — so for that window a copy exists on their side even if you have already deleted the note here.

Screen recordings

The app records the screens you see while using it, so we can watch back where the app confused someone or broke.

Text and images are masked before the recording leaves your device. The words of your notes, your transcripts and anything you type are replaced with blocks in these recordings — we see the shape of the screen and where you tapped, not what your note says.

These recordings cover the app only. They stop when the app goes to the background, and they never capture other apps, your keyboard input, or anything outside Voisary.

Turning off Settings › Preferences › Share usage data stops these recordings too.

Experiments

We sometimes show different versions of a screen to different people to find out which one works better. Which version you see is recorded alongside the events above. It changes what the app looks like, never what happens to your notes.

How you found us

When you install Voisary, Apple can tell us whether the install came from one of our Apple Search Ads campaigns, and which campaign, keyword and country it was. We ask Apple this once, shortly after you sign in, and store the answer with your account. If the install did not come from an ad, the answer is simply that it was organic.

This is Apple's own attribution. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), it does not follow you across other apps or websites, and it does not require the tracking permission prompt. It tells us whether our ads work — nothing about what you do anywhere else.

Who else is involved

• OpenAI — transcription and note generation.
• Apple — sign-in, subscription payments, and telling us which ad campaign an install came from.
• RevenueCat — keeps track of your subscription status.
• Mixpanel — the usage data and screen recordings described above.
• Hetzner — the German data centre where our servers and databases run.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services listed above.

Where your data is stored

Our servers and databases are hosted in Germany, within the European Union. Your recordings, transcripts and notes are stored there. If you use the app from outside the EU, your data is transferred there to be processed.

Two of the services we rely on are based in the United States: OpenAI processes your audio to transcribe and shape it, and Mixpanel stores the usage data and screen recordings described above. Using the app means that data is transferred to the United States.

How long we keep it

Your notes, templates and folders stay until you delete them. Your original recordings are kept so a note can be reshaped with another template later.

Deleting a note deletes it from our server too, not just from your phone.

Usage data is kept for two years. Screen recordings are kept for 30 days — after that they are gone and even we cannot watch them back. Both are deleted by Mixpanel on that schedule without us doing anything.

Deleting your account

Settings › Account › Delete account removes your account and everything in it — notes, templates, folders and recordings — permanently. This cannot be undone and we keep no copy.

One thing is outside our reach: OpenAI's abuse-monitoring logs, described above, expire on their own schedule of up to 30 days. Everything on our own servers is gone immediately.

If you sign in on a device that was last used by a different account, that account's notes are removed from the device before anything syncs.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, export it, or have it erased. Deleting your account in the app already accomplishes erasure, and Settings › Preferences › Share usage data stops the usage data and screen recordings described above. For anything else, write to us and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Voisary is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change applies.
